Campfire Ban Lifted

From the Office of the Fire Chief: Effective Noon, Monday, September 18th, 2017 and Until Further Notice: The campfire ban in effect for the West Howe Sound Fire Protection District has been lifted. Open burning restrictions in the Town of Gibsons continues to be in effect under Town of Gibsons Fire Regulation Bylaw No. 660.

This includes all fires whether for warmth, cooking or for ceremonial purposes and all beach fires. Fires in stoves or barbecues

Campfire Ban Now In Effect.

Effective Noon, Wednesday, August 17th, 2016 and Until Further Notice: A campfire ban is in effect for all areas within the West Howe Sound Fire Protection District. This includes all fires whether for warmth, cooking or for ceremonial purposes and all beach fires. Fires in stoves or barbecues using gas or briquettes are allowed.
